You close your eyes and you're on 22nd & Lyndale ave

Hi hotties,

   Close your eyes with me for a moment....

You and all of your friends have left the meta verse internet social media app world and have been transported into the near future (on 22nd & Lyndale avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota) where everybody is swapping flyers about their art project, special interest club and or telling you about their upcoming birthday party that they would love for you to join.

Maybe you feel like this cant possibly be the near future- You must have been transported BACK in time. You can't imagine a world where social media is no longer the normal way to make connections- from friendships to career networking. You've been trapped in meta social media internet app matrix land (like me) and you make excuses (like me) to stay chained to it.

I have a lot of hope for the near future, a future where we don't "rely" on social media to support ourselves if that's what we are doing on there. So, until then I'll be looking to the past and romanticizing my idols who never ever had social media and were prolific art makers and hoping other people will catch on too because I might have FOMO.
